Institutional memory
for the rest
of the economy.
The Fortune 500 has armies of engineers building operational intelligence. Bay West Labs brings that same capability to mid-market operators — the construction companies, real estate operations, logistics firms, and trades that run on tribal knowledge and disconnected tools.
We believe these businesses deserve compounding operational systems that the largest organizations in the world have had for years. Not a watered-down SaaS product. The real thing: a connected operations model, deployed by engineers who embed with your team and learn your business from the inside.
The founding thesis.
Bay West Labs was founded by two technical co-founders who saw the same problem from different angles: mid-market businesses, the backbone of the American economy, were being left behind by the AI revolution.
Enterprise companies had billion-dollar R&D budgets. Startups had venture-funded AI tools built for their workflows. But the mid-market construction company, the regional logistics firm, the local real estate operation? They had spreadsheets, group texts, and institutional knowledge trapped in the heads of people who would eventually retire.
The conviction was simple: these businesses do not need another SaaS tool. They need engineers who will sit next to them, learn how they operate, and build the connected model that captures that intelligence permanently. That is what Bay West Labs does.
We kept seeing the same gap.
On one side, mid-market operators trying to run real businesses on spreadsheets, group texts, and tools that don’t talk to each other. On the other side, consultants charging six figures for slide decks, and SaaS vendors selling the same product to a roofing company and a SaaS startup.
Nobody was building software the way the best operators we knew actually wanted it built — by engineers sitting next to them, learning the operation from the inside, shipping things that fit how the business actually works.
So we started doing it. One operator at a time. The product is the relationship; the platform is what compounds out of it.
Builder and systems thinker focused on embedding with clients to understand operations from the inside out. Believes the best software comes from engineers who sit next to the people using it.
Operations-minded engineer with a knack for translating business chaos into structured systems. Driven by the conviction that mid-market businesses deserve the same caliber of operational tooling as the enterprise.
Embed, Don't Outsource
We sit next to you. We learn your language. We build systems that fit your reality, not a sales demo.
Compound Over Time
Every interaction, every data point, every workflow captured makes the system smarter. Day 100 is dramatically better than day 1.
Build for Operators, Not Executives
The people who use our systems are the people doing the work: dispatchers, coordinators, schedulers, ops leads. We build for them.
Earn Trust, Then Transform
We start with managed services that prove our reliability. Only then do we introduce the systems that transform operations.
Mid-market operators
deserve software built
for how they actually work.
If you operate a business where institutional knowledge is your competitive advantage, and you are tired of watching it walk out the door, we should talk.
